Chá da Manhã (Morning Tea) is a visual exploration of that time of day, on one hand ordinary and filled with routines, on the other hand sublime and insightful. The rituals and objects that define this personal time are the starting point for the creation of textile compositions that combine different sewing techniques, and explore the storytelling potential of the medium. The result is an intimate portrait and a reflection on daily gestures, and how they can ground the act of being and creating. Faced with uncertainty and the unknown, we might find, in the repeating nature of rituals, an anchor to the present.
